Inspection reports for railway catering contracts awarded in 2025

What was asked

To the Central Public Information Officer, Railway Board. Under section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, I request the following information: 1. Copies of all inspection reports on catering contracts awarded by the Railway Board during the calendar year 2025. 2. The name of the inspecting authority and the date of each inspection. 3. Copies of any show cause notices issued to catering licensees during that period.

The information sought is furnished as follows. Point 1: 41 inspection reports were recorded for catering contracts during 2025. Copies are annexed at Annexure A. Point 2: Inspections were carried out by the Zonal Catering Inspection Cell. The date of each inspection is listed in column 3 of Annexure A. Point 3: Nine show cause notices were issued during the period. Copies are annexed at Annexure B. If you are not satisfied with this reply you may file a first appeal under section 19(1) within thirty days to the First Appellate Authority, Railway Board.
