Toll collection figures and contract documents for a national highway stretch

What was asked

To the Central Public Information Officer, National Highways Authority of India.

Under section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, I request the following information:

1. Monthly toll collection figures for the financial year 2025 to 2026 on national highway stretches under the Delhi regional office.
2. A copy of the concession agreement for each plaza on those stretches.
3. Records of any penalty levied on the concessionaire during that period.

What came back

Point 1: Monthly toll collection figures for the financial year 2025 to 2026 are annexed at Annexure I.

Point 2: Concession agreements for the four plazas concerned are annexed at Annexure II. Commercially sensitive schedules were considered under section 8(1)(d) but the public interest in disclosure of a public contract was found to outweigh the protected interest, so they are released under section 8(2).

Point 3: Two penalties were levied. The orders are annexed at Annexure III.

No exemption was claimed. The record was released in full.
